“You either believe women are people or you don’t. It’s that simple.” – Joss Whedon

Four days ago, Equality Now honored one of my favourite people on the planet, one who is forever at Number 1 on my personal list of potential SFeraKon guests of honour Joss Whedon, for his work on gender equality.
He gave this speech at ‘Make Equality Reality’ event in Beverly Hills, California. Here, in his own words, he digs into the nature of the word ‘feminist’ and proposes an alternative.

Considering where I live, I think I will have to stay a feminist a while yet.
