A flashmob musical in memoriam

On Saturday, October 12th, at Rikon 2013, the third biggest Croatian SF convention, the Artefact Awards were given out, the culmination of the con for the old fashioned literary oriented fans as well as many who are not.

This year the ceremony was short and sweet and before there was even time to think “This was a bit swift!”we were asked to stand up and share a moment of silence in honour of the recently deceased Croatian SF fan, writer and fanzine editor, Boris Švel.

We did and into this silence the PMZ Josip Kaplan choir from Rijeka did a flashmob rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah in his memory. It was simply fantastic. The video does not do it justice.
