FantaSTikon 2015: The first SF con in Split

DragonYou may think Croatia has enough conventions with some six or seven annual ones running steadily for years but Croatian fandom disagrees! The southern part of the country has been quiet for some time and now we know why – they have just launched a con of their own!

FantaSTikon 2015 will be held in Split, Dalmatia, July 17-19, 2015 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FESB).

Their GoHs are Croatian writer Aleksandar Žiljak and Lemonade3d, a local 3D designe studio, while Iva Hašperger, an American-Croatian actress who has been in a number of SCIFI profuctions, such as Dinoshark, will be holding a public Q&A for all those dreaming of an acting life in LA where she has been living for the past 15 years.

GUFF will of course have a panel, and I will be presenting Prolaz za divljac, a novel Iva Šakic Ristic wrote and I edited for SFera. Because, how could I resist a con is a 2.5 hour ride away from the spot in the Adriatic where I am?

You can find out all the details at the FantaSTikon webpage or ask them on Facebook.
